WIND ENERGY
Brennand Investimentos has in recent years been investing in the power of the wind and in clean, renewable energy. The Company began with a wind power complex of eight wind farms and a 500 kV transmission system, comprising the 360 MVA Arizona Substation and the 41km Arizona Sobradinho transmission line. Five wind farms are currently in operation.
In 2022, two new wind farms began operation, expanding the installed wind power capacity to 173 MW. The five wind farms will generate around 726 thousand MWh per year, which is equivalent to the average consumption of 160 thousand Brazilian families.
Additionally, in its faithful commitment to the sustainable development of Brazil, the Company owns a major portfolio of wind power projects in the State of Bahia, where the winds are of exceptional quality. At various stages of development, some of these projects are ready for construction.
